How does HRM really works in an organization..

Above diagram indicates the Harvard model of HRM and it is  the performance  core element and managing Human Resources to achive the positive HR out comes in terms of a committed work force ,working in harmony with the objectives of the organization and achieving competence and cost effectiveness. These out comes in turn lead to positive  long term consequences : firstly organizational effectiveness,but also individual and society well - being.

Harverd model has been influenced worldwide .Hollinshead and Leat (1995) used the model as a
frame work to examine HRM in Germany ,France , Italy.

Responsibilities of the HR Professional




  • Depending on the size of the organization, the HR manager has responsibility for all of the functions that deal with the needs and activities of the organization's people including these areas of responsibility.


Most  influential function  for success is the Recruitment in an organization which is within the HRM frame work and finding Most suited personalities for the sustainability of the organization will reflect the effectiveness in the HRM
